We play records that we've thrifted over years, as well as those little plasti-coated aluminum things that we want to dislike, but are just so dang convenient. Mostly instrumentals, mostly '50s & '60s, mostly stereo. Ping pong percussion, Moog pop, crime jazz, exotica, samba, bossa nova, mambo, cha-cha, space age pop, word jazz, and all that kinda stuff. Starting Fri, Nov. 7, and every Friday following for the forseeable future starting at 7p.m.- closing, .Jimmy Botticelli presents an evening of lounge Le Cafe Royal on Centre St. in the West Roxbury section of Boston. This is a first in a section of town NOT known for innovation in all things cultural. "Jimmy's Easy" airs Saturdays on WMBR-FM, 88.1, Cambridge at M.I.T. from 6.am and features "the best classic and contemporary Easy/Queasy/Sleazy/Cheesy/Greazy listening music". |
